Parliamentary Elections 25
Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in the Czech Republic on 3 and 4 October 2025. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Parliament, will be elected and the leader of the resultant government will become the Prime Minister.
The 2025 election marks the first time that mail-in voting is permitted for citizens living or stationed abroad.
The aim of postal voting is to make it easier for Czech citizens living abroad to vote and thus to level the playing field in terms of their right to vote.
Postal voting is based on the proven principle of two envelopes to ensure the secrecy of the vote and an identification slip to ensure that the vote is cast by the voter themselves.
Czechs abroad will vote by mail for the first time in the 2025 elections to the Chamber of Deputies.
Requests for registering a postal vote are to be processed through the Czech Embassy in Rome and not through the Honorary Consulate in Malta. Details about the process can be found on the Czech Government’s postal voting information page. and https://www.volimdomu.cz
